Quiet Residential Area

Moorcroft is situated in a quiet residential street just off Queens Road which is the main road through Craig y Don, and is within minutes of the A470 which leads on to the A55 expressway. Moorcroft is within easy reach of bus routes as the stop is just 200 yards down the road which is serviced by the number 5 bus which can access a lot of local areas. Craig y Don centre is a 10-minute walk away, where all shops can be accessed such as the Coop, newsagent, numerous hair salons, beauty salons, bookmaker, cafes and bars and GP surgeries and a dentist. Moorcroft is also situated closely to the community centre where various meetings and clubs are held.

Close by is a lovely park, Queens Park and we also have links with the Friends of Craig y Don Park committee. Llandudno town centre is a 5-minute car ride away which has a lovely promenade stretching the length of the coast from the Great Orme over to the Little Orme which is of great benefit to our residents. Venue Cymru is a very large theatre and conference centre which is again only 5 minutes away in the car which provides many areas of interest and activity for the residents.

Bedrooms

Here at Moorcroft we have 24 single occupancy bedrooms, all with ensuite toilet and wash facilities. Each room is decorated to a high standard, and there is an ongoing rolling maintenance programme, with our on-site maintenance man on hand to deal with any requirements.

Our bedrooms are fitted out with all the furniture you would require for an immediate admission, we do however encourage our guests to perhaps bring in their own personal favourites from home, just to give the room their own personal touch.

Dining Area

We have the most ornate and pretty dining room and we encourage our residents to meet here and make having their lunch and dinner a truly social event.

Lounge

We have a large and spacious TV lounge which would seat up to 24 people where they may want to relax and socialise or watch TV. The lounge is also where access to the lift is for the first floor.

Conservatory

We have a huge conservatory that wraps around the side of the building and overlooks our beautiful and well-maintained gardens. We often watch the variety of birds that visit our feeders along with our own pet squirrels!!

 We often host the larger entertaining events in the conservatory and regularly hold various performances in here, such as choirs, seated exercises, and shopping events. We also host our summer and winter resident’s parties in here.  There are 2 exits from this room, which allow our residents to move independently to the gardens

Bathrooms

We have 3 bathrooms on site, all with seats that lift the person safely into the bath. Along with these 3 bathrooms we have a purpose-built wet room for those that prefer to shower!

Minibus

We have our own 12-seater minibus that has a wheelchair lift at the back. We try and use this as often as possible, through the summer months we can often go out for a scenic drive with our residents and enjoy an ice cream or 10 on the way. We have also used it for trips to the Orme, Ogwen valley, Venue Cymru and Snowdonia Nurseries for our annual Christmas lunch.
